custom debian packages?
 
one could use debian-cd to make a custom debian install cd for the potato release does this work for sarge or is there a more efficent way now?

potato? that's like 2 stable releases ago...like 4 years, at least. Why would you want to do that?

I don't think s/he wants to use Potato, but rather is asking if a feature of Potato is available in Sarge. Or, even better, that feature has been improved. Unfortunately, the Q was a bit ambiguous, but I think careful reading reveals the OP's intent.

Makes one wish that "RTFQ" was in use & 'R' stood for either "Read" or "Rephrase". We could have used a bit of both here.
