Could not find gnomeConf.sh

I installed cheops from apt-get, but strangely enough it could not launch!!

So i tried another version of cheops (?) known cheops-ng - I downloaded and tried to compile it from the sources. However I'm stuck at the 'configure' stage since i'm getting this error:

configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install

Infact, that file doesn't exist at all although I have gnome up and running. Any suggestions?

thanks a lot, ganninu.

If you still have the problem, then 'apt-get install libgnome-dev' - that package has that file
