few more problems. I have to modprobe pppoe,ppp_* modules manually each time to connect.wth?

I tried all reconfiguring stuffs including for kernel.

Now,Thinking of selecting all packages for a re-install(/var/.../archives/ contains most packages). Is there any single command to do this? apt-get install --reinstall "what" ?
