connection between dselect and apt-get

hi all. i was wondering if someone could explain the differences between methods (dselect and apt-get). basicall, i just upgraded from woody(stable) to sarge(testing) and after completing the update with apt-get i ran dselect. it appeared as if it was not in sync with what i had already accomplished. is it bad to use a mixture of the two? is there a way to sync them up?

thanks,

japetto

aha. "apt-get dselect-upgrade". wow, it's amazing what you can find when you read the man page. oops. lesson well learned!
