Earlier this month, I downloaded DVD ISOs of binary-1 and -2 for Sarge stable... or so I thought. I got them from here:
which is linked from here:
... as being Sarge stable. The md5s were correct, and the installation went fine. However, after installing and adding the second disk using apt-cdrom, I find the following two entries in my sources.lst file:
deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 r0a _Sarge_ - Official i386 Binary-2 (20050607)]/ unstable
deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 r0a _Sarge_ - Official i386 Binary-1 (20050607)]/ unstable
I don't get it. Why would the DVD resources be listed as unstable? Their date of creation (both files) is given as June 8, 2005, two days after the release of Sarge stable. Now I'm paranoid...
I've sent an inquiry to Switch, but I thought I would ask here as well, since they may take a few days to respond, and may not be able to answer satisfactorily.
