Color quality

Hello,

I installed a Debian base image under CoLinux and installed Xfree86 and KDE base packages. I think I set up the colors rong for Xfree86 because everything in KDE is at a low color quality, but the settings box does'nt allow changes to color or size for some reasion. Any solutions?

Thanks.

If possible is there anyway for Xfree86 to scan for the best config, if not where is the config at and what needs to be changed, the color depth? (I am using a Dell Laptop, I suppose it matters what kind of monitor I am using.)
