Changing The Login Screen Background in Debian Wheezy(LXDE)?
I found an image that I wanted to make the background in my login screen, but the method used in Debian Squeeze doesn't seem to work anymore.
I don't know what to do. Can you help me out here? |
The big question here is what DM you are using.
Assuming you are using lightdm. Go to the image that you want to use. Right click on it and choose the copy option. Pull up, as root, the /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf using your favorite text editor. Go to this line; [code] background=/usr/share/xfce4/backdrops/P1010377a.png [code] should be about line 12. Get rid of everything past the "=" and then paste your "image" there. This should look like this; Code:
/media/Data/I-Holding/Holding/Catch-All/Public/Xepher/005.jpg Save the file and that should be that. You may have some problems with font color on a new image. If so that can be fixed in /etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme. If this is a problem ask and I will find the correct line and entry. |
It worked, thanks for the help.

Hi,
assuming you are running a stock Gnome 3 and GDM3, you find information on this at: Code:
/usr/share/doc/gdm3/README.Debian Evo2. |
