Changing system-wide buttons

Hi. Sorry for the bad title. Anyway, I got debian testing(sarge) from a hd install of Knoppix. KDE is slow on my computer, so I decided to try GNOME.
Code:
apt-get install gnome-desktop-environment
apt-get install gnome
Everything works fine, but I cant change the style of any of the buttons like I could in KDE. I noticed that it's the same style as the buttons on my logon screen. Is there any way to change this?

Notice how the taskbar buttons are rounded, I would much rather them be sqaure.

There is a theme selector program in GNOME that should be somewhere under preferneces in the menu. Check out gnome-look.org and art.gnome.org for some great GTK and Metacity themes.
