Changeing Iceweasel logo.

I can't stand the green iceweasel so I downloaded the blue one from the Ubuntu wiki. I've changed the logo in the Kmenu and it looks much better but I still have the horid green one in the task bar and at the top of any Iceweasel window. How can I change it their?

Right-click on the Iceweasel icon in your panel, choose 'Configure Iceweasel Web Browser Button', click on the Iceweasel icon you see in the General tab, select the 'Other icons' radio button then navigate to where the image is you downloaded.

I use KDE not gnome. And I'm not trying to change the button I click to open Iceweasel, I've allready changed that. I'm talking about the little icon you see in the taskbar.

Edit makeing progress, Iceweasel icons are in usr/share/iceweasel/chrome/icons/default and /usr/share/iceweasel/icons I tried replaceing them but so that just means I now have the Xorg X for an icon, still better than the green one and I reckon there must be a way to get the blue iceweasel.

edit again: done it, I was calling the icons the wrong thing, they need to be main-window.xpm bookmark-window.xpm and jsconsoleWindow.xpm I don't know what debian did but they had diffrent icon naems that did work but not when I replaced them with my icons. Oh well. Stuff happens, i fixed it

Download the icon you want from the Ubuntu page; put in in /usr/share/pixmaps.

Right click on the desktop or panel icon; select Properties, click the icon to change it.

rickh, I fixed myself 2 minuts before you're post

and thats the wrong solution anyway, that changes the icon you click on to launch iceweasel but I was trying to change the window icon/taksbar. To do it you downlaod the ubuntu icon then put it in 3 places:

usr/share/iceweasel/chrome/icons/default/main-window.xpm
usr/share/iceweasel/chrome/icons/default/bookmark-window.xpm
usr/share/iceweasel/chrome/icons/default/jsconsoleWindow.xpm

Glad you got it working, but /usr/share/iceweasel/chrome/icons/default/ on my system has the green ones, but I never see them when I open iceweasel. The one I would like to change is the splash image on Help|About

Try changeing /usr/share/iceweasel/chrome/browser/content/branding/about.png

I'm suprised you never see the green one, I used to see them at the top of any iceweasel window, in the taskbar, and if I was useing alt-tab. Fixed all of that in the way I described in my last post.

That worked. Thanks. Now my IceWeasel has totally adopted the Lostin Brittany icon set from the wikiUbuntu page.

Linux is all about choices. lol.

It sure is, glad you got it working. Hopefully the official Iceweasel icons will be better for lenny.
