Change Refresh Rate to 70 and use 1024x768

The current refresh rate is 73 and in the Screen Resize and rotate tool in the start menu there is no other refresh rates available, i want to change it to 70, i would also like to at least change the screen size to 1024x768

I would welcome any help you can give

ok i got the screen resolution to 1024x768 and the screen resolution is 71Hz. I'm happy with it now

Can anyone tell me if it is ok to have a refresh rate of 71Hz or not, will it damage my monitor, i've never seen 71Hz as an option on any system and i'm a bit worried

A refresh rate of 71Hz is fine, all you need to be concered about is going over the maximun refresh rate of the monitor. If you have a rate of 70,75,85 in windows to say and your running it at 71 in linux, it is perfectly fine, just don't go past 85.

BTW if your monitor didn't like it, it would of told you right away by either displaying a message or blowin up.
