can't launch KMail after upgrade

Debian "unstable", w/ KDE, on 2.6.8.1 kernel.

Ran apt-get update and apt-get dist-upgrade as per usual, but it (I think) broke KMail. This is possibly the first time that "unstable" has actually been "unstable" on this system, but in any case, I'd like to fix the problem.

Clicking the KMail icon produces error message: KDEInit could not launch 'kmail'.
Attempting to run from the command line in a terminal window produces error message: Segmentation fault.

Any ideas?

Please ask a question in one forum and one forum only. I suggest a moderator merge the two threads into one.

Anyways, Debian Unstable is just that, unstable. I don't mean that it is unstable as in it will crash every 10 minutes, I mean it is unstable as in it changes a lot. Often things break. You are just going to have to report the bug to the Debian team so that they can fix it.

Not to try and make people mad in this forum, but I recommend (K)Ubuntu over Debian Sid, as things like this generally don't happen.
