Cannot quite understand udftools.

I have posted this here as I am not sure if my problem is Debian specific.

I am trying to achieve a situation where I can copy files to a CDRW by just dragging and dropping them, like using DirectCD in Windows.

As per the udftools dicumentation I can run:

Code:
   dd if=/dev/zero of=udfimage bs=1M count=700
   mkudffs udfimage
   mkdir udfmnt
mount -o loop -t udf udfimage udfmnt
I can then copy to and from ~/udfmount.

The documentation then says:

Quote:
After an "umount udfmnt", the
file "udfimage" can be written to the medium.
Does this mean that I then need to use k3b to actually write to the CDRW? I find this strange since (as I understand it) this means that I may as well copy my files into a directory and then write that out to CD. It also means that I need to erase the entire CD each time.

Am I missing out something or is this how it's meant to work?

That is telling you that once you have mounted the ~/udfmount the files you drag and drop to it will not be actually written to the directory/cdrw until you use the umount ~/udfmount directory command they will be cached somewhere most likely ~/tmp. BTW are you sure it would be ~/udfmount not ~/udfmnt because that looks like it is the directory you created and mount with the commands above.
