Cannot finihs installation due to lack of internet connection.


Hi.
I cannot finish installation of latest Debian, because I cannot get past step "set up newrok connection".
My linux box does not have internet access at the moment, however installer wount le me finish installation until network is detected properly.
What should I do?

how are you installing, how far are you exactly with your installation? What does the screen all say?

I'll use install walkthrough as a reference to where I am.

stuck on step 14, and cant get out of it untill neweork is configured (which is impossibility right now....).

All I need is to skip nework conifig step.

Can't you just enter a wrong configuration and accept that? You could try entering a manual configuration... (just a guess)

strange: you say you are installing the latest Debian, but you are using a manual from the Debian 3.0 installation (I consider Sarge or Sid the latest Debian, but maybe you don't...), and you also say your distro is a knoppix HD-install... ???
