Can't apt-get After Kernel Upgrade
I upgraded my kernel from 2.4.x-x-386 to 2.6.8-11-amd64-k8. Now that I'm running in the 2.6 kernel, I've found that I am no longer able to use the apt-get command. Apparently the 2.6 kernel can not see the Debian 3.1 disk. When I attempt to use the apt-get command I get the following:
Code:
computer:/home/halfpower# apt-get install alsa-utils

Media Change: Please insert the disc labelled
'Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 r0 _Sarge_ - Official i386 Binary-1 (20050605)'
in the drive '/cdrom/' and press enter
When I put the Debian disk in and hit enter I am again with the following prompt:
Code:
Media Change: Please insert the disc labelled
'Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 r0 _Sarge_ - Official i386 Binary-1 (20050605)'
in the drive '/cdrom/' and press enter
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem with apt-get?
