I have gone through the site

for the above purpose. It needs a module snd-intel8x0m.ko. I couldnät
find it in my laptop. Do I have compile the kernel for this? If from
where to get source. my kernel is 2.6.10-kanotix-8. Or is it necessary
to download alsa tar and install it?
second I need sl-modem alsa version for the above modem. What I see is
