Bootup applications configuration
I've been searching around on google and on this forum for something like "bootup applications configuration" or "startup applications" or something like that, but I haven't found anything. What I want is an application (GUI or CLI) with which I can manage the various applications that start after the boot process. They all seem to load and do various things, but I can't seem to find a way to interactively turn them on or off. I know that KDE has a "services" feature to manage things like Apache, and I seem to remember that there's a red hat application (which I've used in Debian before) to manage these services, but I can't remember what it's called (note to self: actually USE the computer maintenance log that sits in the file cabinet).
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Update:
I found sysv-rc-conf, which seems OK; but I'm open to others.
