Booting Debian from a USB pendrive ?
Dear All,
I have been reading the d-i.pascal.at site and it looks a great idea to have Debian booting from a USB pendrive. I have a problem to install FC2 into my new machine (Athlon XP 3000+ with Asus A7V600-X motherboard and 120GB SATA HD)
I know ideally any 2.6 kernel should be able to recognize my SATA HD but it is not the case with FC2. Just decided to try Debian, then downloaded the 3.0r2 (7 CDs) and gave a try, it did not recognize neither my SATA HD nor my network card... not sure I can boot from a USB device as I don't see such an option on my BIOS, anyway I would also like to give a try.
I have a 256MB pendrive (cruzer) I would like to use for it. Would you have any (iso) image I could put into my pendrive then use it to have a full installation of Debian (able to recognize my SATA HD)?
I just saw Bonzai but not sure that is what I want since the project homepage is in German ! ;-)
Thanks for any tips you might send, Alberto
