Bootable Debian CD with GNOME and certain packages

Hello there. I am not a Linux expert, but I can make my way around what I need to do, and am always learning.

I am about to start a free software project with a few people, and I would like to make bootable CDs that are similar to Debian 40r3 cd1. Basically I want to make an install CD which install the kernel, basic stuff, and certain applications I need (such as GCL, SBCL, SciTe, Emacs, etc). Of course, I would like the distribution to be Debian, not a separate one. Just an alternative install CD with the applications I need.

My box is already configured and customized, but I would like to have an install CD which includes the applications we will use, so we can have a few project-oriented boxes working without having to spend a lot of time customizing it (mostly by removing unnecessary applications) included in CD1.

A minimal install CD would be fine, but I have had some trouble trying to install the GNOME desktop environment.

I have tried to find some information on google, but I am afraid I have not been able to find much (besides compiling and installing the kernel, which is not that related to my needs [as far as I know]).

Thanks in advance.
Dan6688.
