Boot message for ethernet card

Hi Al,

I use my WiFi card for connectivity but also have a NIC card stock on my machine. I'm running Wheezy with kernel 3.2.0-4-amd64. Is there a way to just disable the NIC card to the system doesn't try to appropriate it and fail each time? Also cleans up the boot message ;-)

Thanhs Much,

ab

Well, you can blacklist the module that controls your ethernet card or remove its interface details from /etc/network/interfaces.

If you want to remove the bios message you have to disable boot from network in the bios setup.
