Question bad OpenGL on Intel 945GM Thinkpad X60 lenny

Just upgraded to lenny because I was getting this:

libGL error: drmMap of framebuffer failed (Invalid argument)

That's gone, as I suspected it was some kind of xorg intel driver issue. But my framerates are still crap. On an application that I expect to get around 60fps or higher, (60 is "okay"), I'm getting between .5 and 5fps.

My kernel is pretty recent with the intelfb. I'm pretty sure its an xorg.conf issue.

These are the major issues as far as I can tell:

Code:
AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual
 Hardware claims pipe A is on while software believes it is off
 Hardware claims plane A is on while software believes it is off
Also, There's a PCI 0:2:1 device that I've HEARD is some kind of dummy intel graphics device that you have to add an IGNORE section, but I can't seem to find an example of that. I also read something about "vblank" but again, don't really know.

Files follow, I've snipped a lot. I'd also like to be able to change my resolution beyond the 1024x768, but that's probably way too much to expect. Also, the HAL thing is separate, that's because I didn't compile inotify in my kernel, and I'll fix that later.

This is relevant parts of xorg.conf (also synaptics says there's no such device and unloads itself, separate but I'm curious about it):

This is glxinfo:
Code:

server glx vendor string: SGI
server glx version string: 1.2
glxgears -info, gives this and then crashes on exit:

GL_VERSION    = 1.3 Mesa 7.0.4

GL_EXTENSIONS =  snip
XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0.0"
      after 6055 requests (36 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
The crash is new with lenny, didn't have it with etch, but not necessarily related.

And this is xorg log:

New information. Apparently the glxgears X errors are really nasty, they fill something up and I have to hard reboot.... unless of course I kill glxgears before it gets to that point.

They do this:
Code:
tossed event which came in late
mieqEnequeue: out-of-order valuator event; dropping.
until the system locks up.
