ATI drivers for debian

Hey folks,

I'm a newbie to linux, and I'm trying to install ATI drivers in debian. However they only come in RPM packages(grrr...).

Does anyone know a clever way around this problems?

Regards,

I know theres a program called alien which purports to convert between various different types of packages. However, how to get it, install it, use it or how well it works I've not yet managed to figure out.

Nor have I managed to get my radeon 9600 working with Lycoris. So if you get yours working, would you send me an email with how? ;-)

apt-get install alien

To use alien to convert rpms to debs type in terminal -> alien -d yourfilename.rpm and hit enter. Then you can install it.
