apt package list resetting
I'm trying to reset the list of packages maintained by apt as I gave it a sid package list and I'd rather those packages were not listed any more. I'm just not sure what directory to clear or whatever might be an appropriate procedure.
Thanks for whatever help people can give me. |
Can you due a copy/past of your sources.list file?
I forgot the path :/ Sry |
vi /etc/apt/sources.list
:wq |
fixed it all now
Ah, I managed to fix it all up last night, but thanks anyway. I just had to remove/comment the unnecessary entries in /etc/apt/sources.list and run dselect->update (possibly deleting /var/lib/dpkg/available as well, I haven't done the process without doing it, but I doubt that it's necessary). Everything's fine now.
Cheers :) |
