Having a bit of a problem with apt-get, wonder if anyone can help me find a way round it?
Code:
evolution: Depends: gnome-icon-theme but it is not going to be installed"
when I try to install evolution
If I try to install the missing package it bombs out with -
Code:
trying to overwrite `/usr/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/apps/blender.png', which is also in package kdebase
and if I try to install anything else -
Code:
apt-get install kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
evolution: Depends: gnome-icon-theme but it is not going to be installed
kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686: Depends: initrd-tools (>= 0.1.63) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: module-init-tools (>= 0.9.13) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
doing the apt-get -f install/update/fixmissing merry go round seems to have no effect
Newly installed debian woody dist-upgraded to sid, barely any other configuration
