apt-get runs into Segmentation fault
Hi there,
I have a Debian Linux 3.0 Woody 2.4.18-bf2.4 (prerelease) here which is used as file server. Has been running just fine. The machine is now not needed any longer, so I decided to upgrade it, but apt-get upgrade as well as apt-get dist-upgrade run into segmentation faults or other Errors such as: subprocess rm cleanup killed by signal (Segmentation fault) Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) I found this on the net: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=159756 But unfortunately, modifying the install-info did not work for me - I still can't upgrade the damn system. Now, before just making a backup and a clean install, I wonder if anyone has an idea? |
