apc Back-ups
Hi ppl,

i have a APC Back-ups 650 and i have installed apcupsd in linux (debian).
The cable i use is a serial cable provided by the APC (940-0020C).
The problem is that i never receive any signals from ups. If i run apctest, the steps 1, 2, 3, i get always

2004-11-29 20:44:27 IOCTL GET: 4000

this means in the serial port there's no changes, if i connect or disconnect the cable, the power etc.

in the apcdupsd.conf i have

DEVICE /dev/ttyS0
UPSTYPE backups

i have also tryied to change some of the configurations on this file

does anyone know who to setup a back-ups in debian.

Thanks in advance
