Apache2 and jumping memory usage
 

Hello! I have a little problem with my apache2 server. Sometimes, memory usage jump from 200 MB to 500 MB. After 5 minutes, all come back to norm.

When memory usage amounted 500 MB i see in "top" many apache2 process. Below I add screen from ssh console:

I would like hold in 256 MB memory usage.

Did you check "extended/fullstatus" output? restricting apache with 250MB may prove a bad idea while you can fine tune apache settings.
