Anyone using Debian's packaged Chromium on wheezy?

Hi folks, I'm still using squeeze and plan to upgrade to wheezy/jessie next year (when squeeze will reach its EOL), anyway if you're using Debian's packaged Chromium (the one on Debian repos) could you do me a favour and tell me the result of visiting www.html5test.com, especially the audio and video part? I attach what mine shows in squeeze for a reference.

Thanks. Regards

Hi,

wheezy and jessie are quite different beasts. Wheezy is the current stable, and jessie is the current testing which will become stable at some point - perhaps next year, but perhaps not. Anyway, assuming that it is wheezy that you are really interested in:
Code:

% lsb_release --all
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID:        Debian
Description:        Debian GNU/Linux 7.2 (wheezy)
Release:        7.2
Codename:        wheezy
% dpkg -l chromium
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend
|/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name                Version        Architecture    Description
+++-====================-===============-===============-=============================================
ii  chromium            30.0.1599.101-1 amd64          Google's open source chromium web browser

See attachment for the html5test.com results. It's pretty good.

Cheers,

Evo2.
