Alpine and smtp with authentication = login

I am giving a try to Alpine e-mail client (from CLI). I am also trying to configure it to check and send mails from two accounts. One of them is a gmail account (it works fine) and the other is a standard smtp with authentication = login and I don't know how to set it up that way. If any of you uses alpine and knows how to set an account with authentication login.

Is it possible to tell Alpine to save the passwords instead of asking for them each time I start it?

I will appreciate your help.

Thank you!
