After update: 2.6.18-6-686_2.6.18.dfsg.1-24etch2...PANIC:RAMDISK:Incomplete crc error
 

Hi all,

During update and before reboot all OK..
After update linux-image-2.6.18-6-686_2.6.18.dfsg.1-24etch2_i386.deb and reboot is this message:

RAMDISK:Incomplete write (-28 !:32768) 838868
crc error
VFS:CVFS:Cannot open root device "hd1" or unknown block (0,0)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic-not syncing:VFS:unable to mount root Fs on unknown-block (0,0)

I have Live-CD KNOPPIX and sysRescueCD...

Check disk is OK

In Live-CD is FS as /media/hda1 OK:
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 2327 18691596 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 2328 2434 859477+ 5 Extended
