ADSL Not working with DSL-300G. Error: "pppoe: timeout waiting for PADO packets"

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hey all,

I guess Ive summed it up pretty well in the subject, but thats the jist of it.

Ive tried pppoeconf and it reports this error. dhclient gives me an IP but I cannot ping. I just found out dhclient and pppoe are unrelated and should be used independantly.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-dan

I take it it's connected via ethernet, then (not USB)? Are you sure you're pinging the right IP address? Can you http to the ADSL modem? What brand of modem have you got?
