32bit chroot in Sarge amd64 without sound

Hi all,

I got a problem with my 32-bit chroot in my Debian Sarge 64bit system and didn't find a threat for it here.

The sound system within the chroot doesnt work very well. I installed mplayer 32bit and have to tell mplayer via flag to use oss. Otherwise it doesn't find any soundsystem correctly.

Now, my problem is, that I recently installed Flashplayer within the chroot for my 32bit-firefox. Flashplayer works, but without sound. And I havent got a clue, how to make it work. Has anybody got an idea?

I discovered also, that if I install something via aptitude within the chroot, there often appears some error message concerning the package "oss-compat". I already reinstalled it, but that didn't make any difference.

I think, Sarge (64bit) uses arts as sound system. (not sure!) Is there any setup file, I could edit to make the chroot work correctly with the sound system?

I'd be grateful for any hint.

chroot, sound
