256mb USB Booter

I need to access my hard drive by booting on 256 mb flash disk. Is it possible with Debian?

If by booting you mean a live distro on the USB flash (not just grub), then Debian is perhaps not the easiest choice for such a small USB. It can probably be done, but it would be quicker to use one of the micro distros such as Puppy or Tiny Core Linux (which can fit into 10Mbytes).

I tried Tinycore... I can't make it work.
With Puppy, I succeeded.
I used Ubuntu, Install unetbootin, the rest is a breeze!

Thanks for your reply jefro.

And since I feel that my question is answered: It is possible but not easy, I will mark this thread as solve.
