2 simple questions regarding X and fonts
I am trying to get Sarge working on my laptop with the 2.6.3 kernel (so I can use ndsiwrapper). I am running into trouble bring X up. (configured with fglrxconfig - an ATI tool downloaded for my video card).
The log file tells me that the "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts" directory doesn't exist (I checked - it isn't there), and that is why X wont start.
I have 2 questions:
1. Do i need to apt-get install KDE or Gnome to get the fonts i need, or have I screwed something else up previously?
2. Why am I typing "X" to start X instead of "startx"? Am I starting the wrong application - why isn't the command "startx" found?
Thanks.
