2 Debian books, which one ?
 
Which one of the 2 Debain books would you choose, both looks promising:

This one

or this one ?

why ?

I would say trye the Debian 3.1 Bible, it seem sto be newer and more up2date.

This is not correct. They have both just been released.

I have the "Debian 3.1 Bible" and while it is a great resource, I would not advocate it for a more advanced Debian user. It's content is somewhat brief on a number of subjects and saves it's best work for topics like doing system backups, setting up servers, firewalling, and other system admin tasks.

"The Debian System" is a self-described 'must-read for the professional user of the Debian system'. Both books aim for the same type of reader, but serve up their subject matter differently and have separate material.

Just wanted to let you know that the book you siggested is the same as the second book (The Debian System: Concepts and Techniques), they may have different covers but they have the same title + written by the same author, the link given on their web-site took me to the link given by "Biased turkey".

P.S. Yes, it seems that I was wrong - both book arejust being released.
