1024x768

Hi. I just installed debian and am having trouble getting 1024x768 resolution in X. During the install, I chose the medium option for the monitor, a Compaq MV400. However, when I went to try and change the resolution to 1024x768 in the Preferences, it wasn't even a choice. Is there something I need to edit in a configuratoin file or what? I'm really confused.

please post your XF86Config-4 or xorg.conf files
(usually found in/etc/X11/)
What gfx card are you using ?

I take it that you are trying to use 24 depth at 1024x768? Take a look at the screen section of your xf86config, in particular what modes are available, you may need to add 1024x768 to the line.
