[dumb] trouble after deleting the "nobody" user

Ouch... That's most supid thing I've ever done under linux : I ran "deluser --remove-all-files nobody". I thought it was a dummy user I had created for some testing... Now my vpn connection doesn't work anymore. I re-created the user nobody but it did not solve the problem. Which file does "nobody" own on the system?

Depends. Some servers use nobody and some don't.
Sounds like you need to reinstall your vpn software

Anyway, I've reinstalled the whole OS. Now everything works :)
