I'm not sure but I think when my computer starts up it sets the system clock twice, and when I shut down it saves the system clock once. If this is true, how would I test it and how would I go about fixing it? I cannot keep the right time on the clock on the gnome toolbar. It changes whenever I restart. Is there some way I can check this out? Thanks in advance.
- sudo nano /etc/default/rcS (if UTC=yes, change to no)
- su - password and write that command: rm /etc/localtime
- ln -s /usr/share/zoneinfo/Asia/Istanbul /etc/localtime (istanbul is my zone, you need to change to yours)
- finally date -s "10/24/2007 02:22:34" ("your current date and time")
after there reboot and change twice your clock at BIOS!
it means first reboot and then enter the bios, change your system time to true one. when you back to X, if clock wasnt change, again back to bios change it again.
