static ip on DSL

I can't seem to have a static ip address on boot.

Whatever I do, I need to set it up manually.

I installed DSL on hard disk,

and followed what's described on
http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/i...lly_at_boot.3F

so after boot,
no network connection.

when I mannualy run
sudo bootlocal.sh
the network is up and running.

How to solve this ?

Do you actually have a static IP address assigned by your ISP?

the DSL pc is in a local network, "192.168.0.3"

the problem is solved by putting the ifconfig command line
in .xinitrc, executed under "sudo" (super user of DSL)

it appears that bootlocal.sh can't execute commands that need to be done in su mode.
