nethack for DSL
 

What are the basic steps to install the game Nethack. I have tried
various apt-get, RPM and .tar versions and can't seem to get it to run. If you have Nethack installed, what was exact version and the process? Thanks in advance for your help.

Are you running the live version or is it installed to your hd?
And by .tar version that you've tried compiling from source?

I'm Running DSL from the HD.

it worked fine for me from the mydsl control panel --> games --> nethack

Alas, I just have Xtris and Ace of Penquins on the menu.

ah...right the "my DSL control pannel" what could be easier- I'm new to this distribution but the more I learn the more I like it. Ok... Full moon tonight, I feel lucky
