making a FAT partition from dsl...


hi: i just got a new hard drive, and i need to format it and set a FAT32 partition in it (to install anigo linux, that runs on a fat partition)

is there a way to do it from DSL? (it is the only self booting thing i have...)

You need dosfstools package which gives you the 'mkfs.vfat' command.

DSL does not include it, so you may have to download and burn a knoppix livecd and create the filesystem from there...
