installing DSL from HD

Hi there. I have an old laptop Toshiba Tecra 510CDT: P I, 144MB RAM, 5GB HDD and I want to install DSL on it. I cannot boot from CDROM. How can I install DSL since I cannot boot just from Floppy or HDD?

You cannot boot from CDrom.. what reason ? is it old hardware or misconfiguration ?
