fstab entry for cdrom

Refurbishing a old lap top for a friend. pii 300mhz 128MBram.
When mounting the cdrom I get an error saying "wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom, or to many mounted file systems"

fstab entry is
"/dev/cdrom /mnt/auto/cdrom iso9660 defaults,ro,user,noexec,noauto 00"

Shouldn't it be "/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom auto umask=0022,users,iocharset=utf8,noauto,ro,exec 0 0"

Is /mnt/auto/cdrom correct it is the default from install

/mnt/auto/cdrom

Well it looks like this is just diffrent way of doing things than I'm used to. I still haven't figured out why the error. I may try doing a frugal install instead maybe the cdrom will mount properly then. Will the system be slower with the frugal install?
