I am about a year out of date on DSL (familiar with 2.4) and I am not sure what the persistence
method is. But if nothing has changed, you should be able to change what is saved (and subsequently restored!) with the file /home/dsl/.filetool.lst
(note the first dot in its name, denoting it is a hidden file). The files and directories listed in this file are simply passed to tar
at shutdown to create backup.tar.gz
. You can modify this file to your hearts content, but make sure you do not
remove the entry for .filetool.lst
itself. If you do, you will go back to the default .filetool.lst
at the next boot!
