Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Ok it was recomended to me that IF I can even put linux on my laptop I should install DSL.Well before I get started ill give you all a little background. My old laptop is a Toshiba satellite Pro 435CDS 100 or 133Mhz system with only 16MB of ram<---if I recall correctly. Well my laptops BISO does not support booting to a cd so I have a floppy disk I created with fdimage which is working great. Well here is my issue. No matter what type of install I do (text only, load CD to HD then run, base, etc.)it just seems to not want to work. An error I keep getting is rather extensive so I will hand type it the best I can and hope someone here can help me. Well I tried again and it seems its like a 4 or 5 part error so I will do my best at typing it up since all parts are different.
The above part of the error was at the top of my screen

This one was at the bottom of the screen and was all I could realy see.Im not able to see everything that is off the screen. I hope this might help in figuring out what the deal is..If more info is needed just let me know. Thank you all for the help.
