DSL for Newbie-Wanna-Be Python-beginner-programmer?
OK- I have been using Linux for about 3 months now, love DSL, and was wondering if it's possible to do programming in DSL(Qemu/DSL-USB install)?
I am a beginner at programming, DSL, and Linux, so please be informative!
I have Slackware 12.2/Xubuntu 8.04/ and SuperUbutnu 8.10 on my PC now + DSL on my 4GB USB. I love DSL for it's small size, ease of use and that it's portable via USB!
So, my question is-Can DSL handle programming while running "live" on my USB?
Also, one more question-I have tried several times to run DSL on my Toshiba 7000CT laptop-as DSL is the perfect distro for this model-160MB RAM, puny 4GB HD, Neomagic graphics card, an 11" screen, NO CDROM, 1USB port and a floppy drive.
Every time I try to run DSL from USB, it freezes when it gets to the point where it is displays the BIOS info, etc. It never goes to where it says "autoconfiguring devices.........."SEE SCREENSHOT!
What am I doing wrong?
I tried failsafe-no luck!
PLEASE HELP!
