cloop errors on boot

Hey all,

I'm getting 8 or 10 errors when i boot, heres my console output, as close as i can retype it

INIT: Entering runlevel: 5
su(pam_unix)[299]: session opened for user dsl by (uid=0)
Using Xvesa default 1024x768x32 -mouse "/dev/psaux",5 mouse
(Now heres where the errors start)
I/O error: dev 0b:00 sector 47172
cloop: Read error at pos 24072183 in file /cdrom/KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX, 31057 bytes lost.
cloop: error -3 uncompressing block 900 65536/0/31057/0 24072183-24103240

(At this point, x starts, only to shut down in about 20 seconds time...)
/usr/X11R6/bin/startx: line 1: /usr/bin/mcookie: Input/output error
xauth: creating new authority file /home/dsl/.Xauthority
xauth: creating new authority file /home/dsl/.Xauthority
xauth: (argv):1: bad "add" command line
xauth: creating new authority file /home/dsl/.Xauthority

xauth: (argv):1: bad "add" command line

After this i get some insmod errors, and then get dumped to a cmd prompt. I think the main problem is the cloop errors, because every time i enter any command i get those cloop errors in my output.

Any suggestions?

I've had similar errors before which were fixed by disabling dma on the offending drive. I'm not sure on DSL, but I believe you can boot with the kernel parameter "nodma".
