Can i install onto a drive?

HI i want to install DSL onto a 486 with 33 mhz, 204mb Ram but no cdrom.
I want to use it as a Xterminal . So is it possible to copy the whole cd to a place to the hardrive by putting it into my other machine, then returning the drivve to my old machine and booting off a floppy and then maybe running the install on the hardrive?

is this possible?
