Ok Conectiva's synaptic package manager sys i have GDK 2 installed, including the devel. I go to install GAIM it says I need GDK 2 even though it is there. I try install yahoo it lets me. I get to the point wher I sign on and then I get a GDK Warning, I am guessing for the same reason that GAIM won't intall. If I try running yahoo IM again I have to go through all the steps again I then I have the same problem. I am lost right now. ANy help would be great. I like Conectiva and I would like to figure this out. Thanks.

have you set up anything to do with a path? if the other stuff can't tell where GDK is installed then it will freak out.

I let the Synaptic Package Manager handle it all, I didn't touch anything. I wonder if I need to after all.
