Installing everything with beta 1

I have just tried the new beta 1 and it is really quick but the major down side is that Codeweavers CX Plugin doesn't work well

To get the plugin to work well in Fedora which is also 2.6 based you have to install 'everything' so I guess there is some sort of dependency that is missing in the basic installs

So how do I get Conectiva to install evertthing ... !!
If I use the basic install it just installs whatever profile is checked and
doesn't install everything even if the install all packages is checked

If I use 'expert' it dumps me in synaptic and then keeps asking me if I want to exit

Can somesome walk me thru getting absolutely everything ...( written for the very slow of thinking :-)

thanks

I had the same problem with TP2. I tried the installer several times. I did get it to work, but the problem I found was that one of the packages was causing a conflict (intall everything option), and then answering the dialogue terminated the pkg install. I tried again w/o that package selected and it installed all the CDs. I cannot remember the package, but if this is your problem, it should be what causes synaptic to want to exit, I think it was specified in the dialogue.

I was going to try installing the beta later this week. I will repost if I dont see any better possibilities here.

Did you ever get this working?

I was able to get the 3 CDs to install by using the expert install and then synaptic. Maybe your install CD had a problem?

Sort of... I re-burnt the install CDs and things worked better but it was still a real pain. Then I installed a couple of rpms manually and thereafter synaptic just blew up every time I started it.

In the end Codeweavers CX Plugin didn't work that well ( Quicktime mostly worked , Flash 7 worked OK and Ipix didn't ) so eventually I had a hissy fit and reinstalled Suse.

I might have another go in a bit, maybe if they do another beta or I might wait until it's released - I'd like to get this going because Conectiva is a lot quicker than Fedora and Suse with a 2.6 kernel seems a bit far off
