first things first...
is your printer plugged to a linux box or to a windows box?
have you got cups up and running on your linux box?

the_linux_raven 09-20-2003 04:18 PM

Yes, I have the printer plugged to a Linux Box ....

And i write in the console "service cups status" and appear that's running.

Thank you for your interest.

now, the other machine (the one from wich you can not print), is it ruuning linux or windows?

lucky you (i have to deal with windows clients due to some stupid software that my clients have to run :()...

anyway, if you know how to speak portugues (and i bet you do ;)), then take a look in here: http://www.conectiva.com/doc/livros/...A-CLIENTE-CUPS

that should solve your problems. it's extremely well written and easy to understand.

if you don't know how to speak portugues, just let me know and i'll help you out :)

oh yeah, i almost forgot: keep in mind that for that to work you need to have cups up and running in all of your clients and a properly configured and working network ;)
